With a total height of 81.3cm (32"), a diameter of 47.5cm (18 3/4") the Linford Urn and Pedestal is a William IV urn and pedestal circa 1835.
The bowl has concave fluting with leaf decoration to the lip; the neck has converse fluting. (Urn height 38.1cm) The pedestal has raised panels and moulded base. Ideal for planting, in so much that it boasts a large soil area combined with good soil depth. It can be situated both inside or outside the house.
Made from reconstituted stone the urn and base are constructed using a special manufacturing process. As a consequence, each piece has a 'finished' texture virtually indistinguishable from natural stone.
The colour of the stone material is between Portland and Bath stones and its composition encourages the spontaneous growth of mosses and litchens, quickly giving it an aged quality of the original. This enables each piece to blend in harmoniously with its setting and adds an antique value onto the ornament.
Each piece is handmade. Most pieces are made to order however there are occasionally some on stock. Please expect delivery from 4 to 6 weeks from placing your order or phone to find availability.
