Our wooden cold frame boasts an extra large growing area of 100cm (3'3") in length by 65cm (2'1") wide. It is a solid timber frame construction with a twin wall polycarbonate glazing to keep plants well insulated against poor weather.

The wood is stained for extra protection and the polycarbonate glazing will not shatter, so it's safe for children and pets. The glazing also diffuses sunlight thereby reducing scorching.

The wooden cold frame has a hinged lid with locking stays for ventilation and will fit 6 standard seed trays.

Tips: 

Choose a sheltered site for your cold frame avoiding windy spots. Postion the cold frame in good light but not prolonged fierce sunlight and secure the cold frame with pegs on soft ground or with plugs and screws on slabs or concrete.
