The Kent urn and pedestal is a William Kent or Flitcroft urn circa 1735-1740, designed for the garden at Great Linford Manor. The design is classically plain, with the body of the urn only broken by the raised Greek key pattern surmounted by a ball. It is, all in all, very majestic; suitable for avenues and vistas and most effective if placed within a woodland clearing or amongst trees.

The overall height of both urn and pedestal is 209.3cm (82.5"), a diameter of 55.2cm (21.75")

Made from reconstituted stone this supreme ornament is constructed using a special manufacturing process. As a consequence, each piece has a 'finished' texture virtually indistinguishable from natural stone.

The colour of the stone material is between Portland and Bath stone. Its material composition encourages the spontaneous growth of mosses and litchens, quickly giving it an aged quality of the original. This enables each piece to blend in harmoniously with its setting and adds an antique value onto the ornament.

Each piece is handmade and this takes time. As such, be aware that most pieces are made to order however there are occasionally some on stock.
