Can The Garden Factory confirm an exact delivery time slot?

Sorry, this isn't possible. Each and every courier does their own 'rounds' so there's no way of telling when they'll be with you. If you're going to be out when delivery is made we recommend that you to add a suitable delivery instruction such as:

  • Leave in porch
  • Leave behind bins
  • Leave in garage
  • Leave with No. 5

Your parcel will be left and a card notifying you where the item is pushed through your letter box. If you need it signing for, please designate a helpful, friendly neighbour and try and forewarn them that something is due. Please remember that you are liable for any loss or damage if the parcel isn't signed for.

On receipt of your order we strongly suggest you immediately check for damage or malfunctioning parts.

I've put the wrong address on the delivery information. What should I do?

You'd be amazed be the amount of calls we get from customers frothing at the mouth about their delivery only to discover they put on the wrong postcode. And these are the folks who generally haven't left a phone number too, or email. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR INFO AND CALL US PRONTO!

If you're information isn't correct please don't suppose the couriers are going to work it out by asking the neighbourhood. Sorry, but 99% of them don't have time. And if the item is then lost, sorry again; we sent it to you in good faith to the address you specified and that ain' t our fault now, is it?

Happily we generally sort these things out before it gets to this point.

I'd like the items brought through to my garden but I'm too small/young/frail/pretty/old/idle/ to lift them.

General Parcels

Delivery drivers will deliver general parcels to your door or a specified place nearby (see above), but this is subject to the delivery driver having easy and suitable access.

Pallets

Pallets are left on the kerbside, and this means kerbside, folks, or in a driveway which is accessible and at the discretion of the driver. Please leave plenty of space for the drop and remember that the goods are on a pallet because they’re heavy or clumpy. Organise some help to move them.

And please don’t expect a delivery driver to traipse through your house with packages or start positioning your product. They've got work to do and they’re not insured to do this. Make these arrangements yourself.

Restrictive Access

If you have restricted access to your property or know of anything that might impede delivery, let us know. Our couriers sometimes use big trucks. Some examples of this might be below:

  • Narrow lane or driveway
  • No turning
  • Utility works
  • Overhanging trees
  • Flooding
  • Farm tracks

In the event of an undelivered item requiring further delivery due to unmentioned restrictive access the customer will bare the full cost of re delivery.
